What Data We Collect

None. MetaTag Pro does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII) or user-generated content to our servers.

All meta tag generation happens entirely in your browser. Your data never leaves your device.

Local Storage

MetaTag Pro uses browser-based storage technologies to enhance your experience:

• IndexedDB: Stores your generation history and saved templates locally in your browser. This data never leaves your device.
• URL Parameters: When you share a configuration, the meta tag values are encoded in the URL. This allows recipients to load your exact configuration.

You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser's storage or using the "Clear All" button in the generator.

URL Fetching (Validator Feature)

When you use the Meta Tag Validator feature to analyze a website:

• We fetch the URL through our server to bypass CORS restrictions
• We do not log, store, or analyze the fetched content
• The content is processed in real-time and immediately discarded
• No personal information from the fetched URL is retained

AI Suggestions Feature (Optional)

When you choose to use the AI Suggestions feature in the Meta Tag Generator:

• Opt-in only: This feature only activates when you click the "AI Suggestions" button
• Data sent: Your page title, description, keywords, and URL (if provided) are sent to an AI service provider
• Purpose: To generate SEO-optimized suggestions for improving your meta tags
• Provider: We use Vercel AI Gateway with OpenAI's GPT models
• Not stored: We do not log or store the data you send or the suggestions received
• Real-time: Processing happens in real-time and data is immediately discarded

Note: The AI suggestions feature is completely optional. All core meta tag generation functionality works entirely in your browser without any AI service.

No Accounts Required

MetaTag Pro does not have user accounts, authentication, or server-side databases for user data. You can use all features without signing up or providing any personal information.

No Third-Party Tracking

We do not use third-party analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising networks. Your usage of MetaTag Pro is completely private.

Your Rights

Since we don't collect or store your data, there's nothing for us to access, modify, or delete. You have complete control:

• Your data is yours: It stays in your browser under your control
• Clear anytime: Use browser settings to clear IndexedDB storage
• No tracking: We can't track you across sites or sessions
